The original Doc Martens
- The men's
Dr Martens 1460,
the boot that started it all. The 1460 is the
"Doc Martens" boot that moved from ubiquitous
working class footwear to became an icon for a
series of sub-culture revolutions.
The
Men's Dr Martens 1460 boot, which still
goes by its original nickname of "cherry reds,"
or Cherry Red
1460, in many ways symbolize the Dr
Martens brand and what Doc Martens boots stands
for as a means of self-expression to generations
of youth around the world.
Dr Martens
created this classic 8 eyelet
1460 boot in 1960. From it's AirWair loop to
its authentic stitching-make no mistake the 1460
is the original.
A custom design by
Jeremy Asher Lynch of San Diego, CA, entitled
"Faces." 2007 winner of Dr Martens boot design
contest on dmbootdesign.com. This is a limited

Dr
Martens men's1460 boot couture style is always at the
height of fashion and is a big part of our
popular culture. Iconic is a great way to
describe the legacy
Dr Martens
boots and shoes have in the footwear
industry today.
Some 47 years after Dr Martens
shoes started coming off the production line,
there is still an incredible interest and demand
in that original Doc Martens boot, the 1460.
